Apple announced today (18th October 2021) their new lineups of M1 Silicons M1 Pro and M1 Max powering their new lineups of MacBook Pros. Powered with 10core CPU and upto 32core GPU the new MacBook Pros comes at two news sizes 14inches and 16inches powered by all new Apple silicon M1 pro or M1 max. With their new silicons, the new notebook can be equipped up to 64 GB of unifified memory and 8TB of Storage with speed of over 7GB/S in read speed. Thats a lot of speed for a notebook.
The Mac's features all new design from connectivity to display later on that. After a long time, the new Mac are able to fast charge with 3rd gen Magsafe although user can still charge their new notebooks with unboard Thubderbolt 4 port.
The new notebook features 3 Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, SD Card Reader, and a Headphone Jack. Yes, HDMI port, SD Card Reader (although its not sure whether they are UHS II compatible) and MagSafe are back in Apple Notebooks. The new 16inch notebook can power 3 Apple's Pro Display XDR and a 4K TV flawlesly with these new pro lineups notebook.
The new notebook features new display, but with a Notch ! Now the screen has mopre realestate than previous gen mac notebooks. The display features 75 millions pixels, pro motion or 120Hz with adaptive refresh rate, and it is powered by same mini LED technology that we had seen in M1 12.9inch iPad Pro which apple released on April 2021. Apple eqipped with all new 1080p f/2 wider aperture webcame for better video confernce.
According to Apple, the new notebooks are subjected to last 21 hours of video playback and 17 hours of video playback in 16 and 14 inche respectively.
With this the touch bar is gone! Apple removed touch bar from their pro lineup notebook replacing with physical function key and fingerprint sensor. The new pro lineup seems bit thicker than its predecessor macbooks. The new silicons have heavily improved in Machine Learning sectors with over 11 times faster.
The new lineup eqipped with M1 Pro starts at $1999(USD) for 14inch base model equipped 8, 14 and 16 core CPU, GPU and Neural Engine respectively, and 16/512GB storage/unified memory and larger 16inch starts at $2499 with 10, 16 and 16 core CPU, GPU and Neural engine, and16/512GB storage/unified memory.
On configuring these notebooks to max, it costs $6099 for 16inch version equipped with M1 Max, 10core CPU, 32core GPU, 64GB unified memory, and 8TB SSD. Costing $5899 for 14inch version equipped with M1 Max 10core CPU, 32core GPU, 64GB unified memory, and 8TB SSD.
